A remake of the 'Warehouse Office' from the beginning of the original Resident Evil 3. I attempted to remake a small area, in the same vein as the recent Resident Evil 2 remake did for it's predecessor. All of the assets were modelled in Autodesk Maya, and then textured using Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop. The level was made and is playable in Unreal 4.
This was my first time creating a detailed environment in Unreal, and wanted to get a grasp of how difficult it was to create an area that had the same level of detail as a modern AAA game, which is why I chose to do a 'remastered' version of a Resident Evil game, so I could compare myself to the work of Capcom, (I'm not suggesting I came anywhere close mind you). This was a brilliant learning experience, and taught me a lot about the workflow of making props and environments and bringing them into a game engine.
All assets have been created by me, with the exception of a couple of royalty free images used on the boards in the office.
Disclaimer: This project was created and uploaded BEFORE the release of the official Resident Evil 3 remake by Capcom. I had begun this project before the game was announced, so I would like to stress that the timing and purpose of myself working on this is purely coincidental.
